Month 9

Well, with all the eating our little bruiser Lewis now weighs ?? jumping up from between the 9-25th percetile for weight, to between the 25-50th percentile. Unfortunately his eczema has got significantly worse so Annie and Lewis are now trying a dairy free diet for a month, no dairy, no eggs and no soya. Annie's immediate thought was no hot chocolate… so shopping trips are now taking significantly longer examining the backs of all the packets.

It was Annie's turn to don the Teletubbie costume this month to run the Loch Ness 10k raising money for the nursery. Nik ran it with Annie for moral support another excuse to dress as a Teletubbie – can you see a pattern here… Rather hot, we finished it in 60mins and Finlay and Grandad ran the Wee Nessie 400m race. Finlay was rather chuffed with his medal and T-shirt. Finlay and Lewis enjoyed all the attention from Granny and Grandad at Inverness and during the rest of their stay, and Lewis had lots of walks into Newmachar.

Finlay and Lewis went to the triplets' 4th birthday party and had a great time playing party games. Finlay won the best dancer for the 2nd year in a row. Lewis got to meet up with Louise's baby Holly for a walk and café stop at the beach. We also had a day trip out to Ruth's house playing lots of games, reading stories and going to the play park and met up with Stewart and Leslie in Ballater and went Geocaching.

Our eldest monkey in the family (Nik) got to do Go Ape at Crathes castle as a late Father's Day present with two of the other Dads. Imagine lots of climbing and swinging on ropes among the treetops. Finlay and Lewis got to play with their friends at the park before watching the Dads.

The end of the month saw us going to the Newmachar baby and toddlers Halloween party where the 2 boys dressed up as pumpkins. This was followed by a trip to Edinburgh Zoo where Finlay and Lewis got to roar at the lions and watch the penguins walk around their feet (they let them out for a wander). Lewis enjoyed watching Fi and Tom's baby Toby who is a month younger, more than the animals.

Lewis is loving his whole food, especially broccoli, but he does make a mess!
