Month 22

The snow stayed around for a few days, and much fun was had sledging and making snowmen in the garden. To warm up we headed to Duthie Park. The boys were all dressed up for Halloween parties, Lewis as a very cute pumpkin and Finlay as a rather scary skeleton. Daddy also got chance to dress up for his works Christmas gangster party.

The cold but dry weather meant we could head out into the hills before Annie's folks left. So a trip up to the tower at Tolquhan and Bennachie ensued. Finlay walked all the way up Bennachie on his own and Lewis walked a fair way before he went in the backpack. We fitted in a spot of geocaching and some fireworks before Annie's folks left.

There were lots of parties this month, with Finlay going to Olivia's party at Kool Kidz indoor play area and Lewis got to play with his girlfriend Sophie (Olivia's sister). Amy's 5th party saw Finlay surrounded by lots of girls as he was only 1 of 2 boys and Lewis was more than happy playing with Hannah (his other girlfriend). Can you see a theme here! Joseph (our godchild) 3rd birthday saw lots of playing with cars and dinosaurs to counteract all the girls birthday parties. Finlay was busy at school nursery this month with a nursery disco in the evening, Highland dancing at nursery and Children in Need. The Rhymetime bus was visiting Newmachar so Lewis got to listen to a story and make bubbles as well as getting a lovely book. He rather liked sitting on the bus gawping at all the other children.

With the nights getting darker, we headed to the Enchanted Castle at Crathes Castle, where the Castle and grounds were lit up with lots of lights set to music. The boys enjoyed the magician there too. Annie and Finlay had a lovely trip to the cinema to see Pirates of the Year and we visited Ruth too.
