Month 13

It was a big month for Lewis this month with his 1^st birthday party. As Lewis seems to loves Winnie the Pooh, we had a Winnie the Pooh themed birthday for Lewis, which Finlay seemed to really enjoy helping to organise for his brother. We had both sets of godparents over; Steve and Michelle with Ellen and Joseph and Anne and Lawrence with Kate, Cara and Holly for birthday tea and cake. Lewis then got to have baby Rebecca and baby Hannah round to play on the Sunday too. Lewis had lots of lovely birthday presents ranging from an apple tree to enjoy when he is older to a scuttlebug which he loves pushing along and sitting on. He also loved eating lots of birthday cake.

Just before he turned one, Lewis weighed 9.04kg/ 19.15lb and is 68cm tall. Still no teeth but that doesn’t stop him eating anything and everything with his exceedingly hard gums, and his hair is starting to grow slowly.

We had a couple more birthday parties, one for Holly who had a party in the woods where the wee ones got to collect sticks, make a fire and toast marshmallows, and one for James and Finlay (not our Finlay but one of Finlay's friends). We also got to go the Music Hall to see the Singing Kettle with Christina, where Lewis loved doing the actions and Finlay loved singing silly songs, even Daddy joined in reluctantly. Finlay got to bring Simon the doll home from nursery, so Simon got to star in lots of pictures too, including our last ever trip to Lemon Trees lunchtime music sessions before they finished.
