Month 21

Lewis had his hospital appointment for his skin and they were so happy with his progress they signed him off. He also cut his top molars but still only has two bottom teeth.

We headed south to Petersfield to see Nik's Nanna who hasn’t been well. We were lucky to see her several times in the hospital, and saw Steve and Judy too, enjoying several meals out and trips to the play park. Ruth was also down south visiting her parents who live just outside Petersfield so we had an outing on the bus with Ruth to see her parents.

We had Finlays first parents evening at school nursery and although he hasn’t been there long he is settling in fine. Finlay had a Mud Pies birthday party for one of his Flowerpots friends and they had fun making dens and toasting marshmallows over the fire. We had James and JoJo and the other Finlay around for a playdate. Again we were blessed with amazing weather and headed out on the bikes before having a picnic lunch and playing with the rocket in the field. Unfortunately Nanna passed away at the age of 93, shortly after our visit, so we were grateful to have had the opportunity for all the family to spend while we were there.

Annie's folks were up at the end of the month just as the weather turned colder. They were here in the spring for the last snow of the year and were greeted with the first snow of the year. Lewis was rather excited to touch the snow and the boys headed out to make a snow man and go sledging. The snow didn’t stay long but it stayed cold for a while. For Nik's birthday we went to a ceilidh at the Music Hall and then two days later to see the new James Bond film.

Lewis has started to say more than "Mummy" at last and can now say "Daddy", which he repeated continuously for most of the day. Other new words include "keys", "Daisy", "chickens" and "cuddles". Lets just hope he doesn’t try to cuddle the chickens or Daisy!

We went to a model railway convention (the things you do when you have boys!). Lewis was in his element as he loves trains so was going "choo choo" to anyone who would listen. We then did a treasure hunt around Newmachar raising money for the new village hall. We were caught out a little with the clocks going back as it was a 4-mile loop and was getting rather dark by the time we got back to Newmachar.
